3A Class Assembly (How The Tiger Got His Stripes)
3a showcased some fantastic acting and singing in their class assembly. The children based their assembly on world book day, which occurred the day before. Opening with the origins of reading and storytelling, the children then proceeded to tell the traditional folk tale of how the tiger got his stripes. Some brilliant acting was shown, by the tiger in particular (Idris), the water buffalo (Zahra), the man (Fredric), all of the other jungle animals and the five narrators (Maya, Aaliyah, Fumni, Hayd’n and Ameira). The children ended their assembly with a super rap called the tiger rap; retelling the whole tale they had just performed through a rap. A great performance, well done to everyone who was involved in organising and well done to the children of 3a.
